Conducted user research, identified user needs, developed user flows and information architecture, created paper and digital wireframes, built low- and high-fidelity prototypes, led usability studies, considered accessibility guidelines, and iterated on interaction and visual design.
The Problem
Users often had to rely on multiple resources to identify their houseplants, manage care routines, and diagnose issues like pests or disease. Many struggled to find a single, credible source that offered trustworthy plant information in one place.
The Goal
Design an application that allows users to identify houseplants by searching or taking a photo, save them to their personal account, and log growth progress in a digital journal. The app should also enable users to set reminders for watering, fertilizing, and repotting to help optimize each plant’s health and growth.
This application helps individuals discover what type of plant they own or want to own. Users can search for a plant by name or take a photo to learn about its origins, how to care for it, and connect with a community of like-minded plant lovers. The app also allows them to set care reminders and track their plant’s growth journey.
